Congratulations to Makayla Whitehurst (GDS'20) for her acceptance into Temple University's EdS program in School Psychology!

"After serving as the Lead Program Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club in Charlottesville, I knew I wanted to further explore how school, family, and community systems can better work together. This led me to the field of School Psychology, which focuses on identifying and addressing students' learning and social-emotional needs in the classroom and beyond. I was recently accepted into Temple University's EdS program in School Psychology. My inner-GDS self is excited about Temple's commitment to teach best practices but also interrogate what’s wrong with those best practices."
